AI vs Manusia: Google Melangkah Maju dengan Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja Massal

IDPOST.CO.ID – Google berencana melakukan pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) massal dengan para karyawan dan menggantikannya dengan kecerdasan buatan atau artificial intelligence (AI).

Pergeseran ini menandakan dorongan terhadap implementasi teknologi yang menggantikan peran pekerja manusia.

Perubahan signifikan dalam tenaga kerja dimulai pada awal 2022, ketika Google meluncurkan kampanye era baru AI.

Divisi iklan menjadi salah satu fokus utama, di mana kecerdasan buatan digunakan dalam fitur Performa Maksimal untuk menghasilkan iklan yang lebih inovatif dan responsif terhadap tren pasar.

Fitur tersebut, yang dapat merubah iklan berdasarkan rasio klik-tayang, meminimalkan kebutuhan akan karyawan manusia dalam penjualan iklan layanan khusus Google.

Informasi dari The Information menyebutkan bahwa hampir setengah dari 30.000 karyawan di divisi periklanan Google sebelumnya bertanggung jawab atas pekerjaan ini.

Dorongan menuju otomatisasi dengan kecerdasan buatan terlihat sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan margin keuntungan dengan mengurangi biaya operasional, terutama karena iklan berperan besar dalam pendapatan Google.

Tidak hanya Google, perusahaan lain seperti IBM dan media Axel Springer di Jerman juga melibatkan AI untuk menggantikan beberapa pekerjaan manusia.

CEO Dukaan, platform e-commerce India, bahkan menyatakan kesiapannya untuk menggantikan seluruh tim layanan pelanggan dengan bot AI, mengklaim bahwa ini lebih efisien dan ekonomis.

Dengan tren ini, sektor industri global menghadapi tantangan untuk mengakomodasi perubahan yang cepat dalam dunia kerja yang didorong oleh kecerdasan buatan.

Studi McKinsey Global Institute bahkan menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan ini bisa lebih cepat daripada perkiraan yang ada.

Goldman Sachs menemukan bahwa sekitar 300 juta lapangan pekerjaan memiliki potensi untuk digantikan oleh kecerdasan buatan, menciptakan paradigma baru di dunia kerja global.
